Omgosh, praises for our Airbnb connection. We just landed in our new digs and they are spectacular! Javier, our host, is most gracious, adorable and kind. He had a fridge filled with goodies, including wine (won me over), chocolate, cheeses and more. He also has several art books as well as maps of where to go, what to see, and where to shop. Fresh everything and two bedrooms! Rhiannon and I are grateful to have our own rooms.
And solid wifi folks, hallelujah! We are on our last chapter of Spain and had to share our last little home away from home before we return stateside. Our Catalunyan taxi driver communicated with Rhiannon and me via Google translate. He spoke Catalon into his phone, then handed it to us, we hit the English button and heard what he said. We managed to eke out some fairly meaningful conversation and a boatload of chuckles. "Ok" seems to be universal. What a hoot, eh? Mobile technology - the reversal of the Tower of Babel. Think about it!
So this post is a bit out of order but I will diligently upload and prep the last few posts for Sevilla, Girona and our last adventures back here in Barcelona before we leave for the El Prat airport Friday morning. PROMISE.
AVE fast Train from Girona to Barcelona. Pleasant train ride, about 30 mins. |
Well I knew this was my bedroom right away. Infanta dreams come right up. |
Now back to my wine and Velasquez (vel-ath-kweth). Xo, missing you all!
